Sertã hosts the travelling exhibition “Landscape Together — Centro Interior Villages to Get Territorial Communities”, developed by the Department of Architecture of the University of Coimbra within the framework of the European project Landscape Together and in connection with the Experimenta Paisagem initiative.
The exhibition presents a synthesis of the work carried out during the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic years within the Design Studios (Ateliers de Projeto ID and IID) of the Integrated Master’s Degree in Architecture of the University of Coimbra, bringing together territorial strategies and project proposals developed by students for different localities of the Experimenta Paisagem Urban Network.
In the case of Sertã, the projects presented explore new approaches to territorial development based on complementarity between places, the activation of local resources, landscape, heritage, and the creation of proximity networks capable of strengthening both attractiveness and quality of life in the Interior. Within this context, Pedrógão Pequeno emerges as the focus of an integrated strategy aimed at fostering new forms of cooperation and articulation between different settlements and communities across the territory.
More than presenting architectural projects, the exhibition invites reflection on the territory as a space of cooperation, community and future development.
Following its presentation in Sertã, the exhibition will continue its travelling programme through the remaining localities involved in the project.
