The month of May will be dedicated to Landscape Together in Pedrógão Grande, with a series of activities including workshops, visits and promotional events for the new trail and local artwork. Between 16 and 28 May, the project will host events for different audiences: children, students, professionals and local residents.
Organised by MAG in partnership with the municipality, on the 16th, primary school children will go to the Bouçã reservoir to race small cork rafts they built at school. In a playful and fun way, they will experiment with the characteristics of cork and its behaviour in water. On the 17th, the long-awaited visit to the interior of the Bouçã Hydroelectric Power Station will take place, with the people of Pedrógão Grande curious to learn about the functioning of this infrastructure, which is rarely open to the public.
The 23rd and 24th of May will also be noteworthy, with activities organised by KHBT. On the 23rd, students from vocational courses in Pedrógão Grande will participate in a workshop on public art, promoting understanding, interaction and unity through simple materials provided by KHBT. On the 24th, elderly residents will have the opportunity to connect emotionally with the project and the territory, with possible visits to the site and the Bouçã dam, ensuring an inclusive and meaningful experience for all participants.
