As part of the project ‘Landscape Together Centro Interior Villages to Get Territorial Communities’, the final presentations of the work carried out by students from the University of Coimbra took place, resulting from the development of Strategic Plans for different villages.
The proposals revealed different approaches to territorial development, ranging from the study of the relationship between building types, public space, landscape and the needs of local communities, to the specialisation of certain types as drivers of transformation. While some plans explored new models of tourism investment, others delved into the industrialisation of endogenous resources or proposed new ways of inhabiting and enjoying the landscape and existing structures in each place, highlighting the plurality of visions for the future of these territories.
