Chillida Leku
San Sebastián, Spain

Chillida Leku is a unique museum, made in itself as a great work of art. In it, the fusion between art and nature occurs naturally. The sculptures are integrated into the landscape as if they had always been part of it. In the garden, beech, oak, and magnolia trees coexist with monumental steel and granite sculptures located in perfect dialogue with the environment. Although the works present an aspect of monumentality, the place was built on a human scale, the scale the artist always used, putting people as the measure of his work. Chillida Leku Museum team will develop strategic actions of the Educational Programme based on the innovative educational practice implemented in the museum in recent years. Chillida Leku Museumis a reference in educational programming developing activities that promote a critical spirit and well-being in the relationship with contemporary art and sculpture in nature, aiming not only at young people and families, but also at teachers and trainers, so that they can guide groups and students.
